About
Cyclotron Info is a reference site for cyclotron enthusiasts — students, hobbyists, amateur builders, and anyone curious about particle accelerators. It exists because the knowledge needed to understand, design, and (where lawful) build a small cyclotron is scattered across decades of literature, defunct project pages, and institutional archives. This site collects it in one place.
Sources and accuracy
Design rules, formulas, and legal summaries on this site carry citations to their sources. The material is curated from published accelerator literature — from the 1940s classics through modern references — and from primary legal texts. It is provided for education: verify anything safety-critical or legally-significant against the cited primary source before relying on it.
Review and corrections
Technical pages carry the date their sources or links were last verified, and safety- and legally-significant content states its assumptions and cites primary sources rather than asking to be taken on trust. Errors reported to the contact address below are corrected in place; substantive corrections are noted on the affected page. Reader corrections are welcome and credited on request. How each section is produced and verified is documented in the editorial methodology, and substantive changes are recorded in the changelog.
Privacy
This is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects no personal data. The exception is the interactive map on the Locations page, which loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap; no other page makes third-party requests.

Corrections, additions, documents, and suggestions for what to cover are all welcome at [email protected]. The contact page lists what is most useful to send and what happens to it — additions to the amateur builds census and the literature index are particularly wanted.
Manufacturers and facility operators are explicitly invited to correct what this site records about their machines. The installation census is assembled from public sources — national regulators, facility registers, survey papers and operator publications, all documented on the registries page — so it lags the people who actually built and run the equipment. Corrections from them are treated as authoritative over a secondary source and applied promptly; substantive ones are recorded in the changelog like any other.
