One address handles everything: [email protected]. Corrections, additions, documents, suggestions, and questions are all welcome, and this page exists to make sending them take less thought than composing a message from scratch.

Each heading below opens a message with the subject line already set and, where it helps, a short template in the body. Nothing on this page is required — a plain email works just as well.

• A correction

  A wrong number, a broken formula, a dead link, a citation that does not support the claim made from it. Corrections are the most useful mail this site receives.

• A build for the census

  The amateur builds census is small because documented amateur cyclotrons are rare. If you know of one that is missing — yours or anyone else’s — it belongs there.

• A machine for the map

  Additions, closures, and corrections to the worldwide installation dataset. A source makes an entry usable; without one it stays unverified.

• A document

  Especially scanned public-domain construction reports for the Construction Classics collection, and anything the library is missing.

• A topic to cover

  Gaps are easier to see from outside. If you came here looking for something and left without it, that is worth knowing.

• A question

  Questions about the material are welcome. This site does not review designs, advise on individual projects, or give legal or safety clearance for anything.

What makes a report easy to act on

None of this is a requirement, but each of these turns a message that needs a reply into one that can simply be acted on:

• The URL of the page in question, and the heading or rule id if the page is long.
• A source for a factual claim — a report, a paper, a datasheet, a measurement. A citation with a page number settles a question that an assertion only reopens.
• For disputed physics or numbers, the working. Several errors found on this site so far were caught by someone redoing the arithmetic.

What happens next

Corrections are made in place, and substantive ones are recorded in the changelog with the date. Where a correction changes what a page claims, the page says so rather than quietly changing. Contributors are credited by name or handle in the changelog entry on request — say so in your message, since the default is no attribution.

Replies are not instant. This is a small operation and mail is answered in batches; a substantive correction may be applied before it is acknowledged. Reports that turn out to be mistaken get a reply explaining why, because the reasoning is usually worth more than the verdict.

Not everything can be accepted. Documents are hosted only where a public-domain rationale can be written for them, dataset entries need a source, and the site's scope stays on cyclotrons. Declines come with a stated reason.

Your message

There is no contact form here on purpose: a form would mean a third-party service receiving your details, and this site makes no third-party requests other than map tiles on the Locations page. Mail arrives as ordinary email. Addresses are not stored in any list, shared, or used for anything but replying — there is no newsletter to be added to.
